Fonoa is a Tax Operating System that uses AI to automate indirect tax workflows across 120+ countries. The platform covers tax ID validation, real-time tax determination, e-invoicing, returns, and more—trusted by companies like Netflix, Spotify, Uber, Zoom, and Booking.com.
As a Founding Solutions Engineer in APAC, you will be a key technical leader working directly with enterprise customers to solve complex tax and compliance challenges. You will partner closely with the sales team to articulate Fonoa's value proposition, lead technical discovery sessions, and design tailored solutions for high-value clients. Your responsibilities include:
- Partnering with sales to present Fonoa's vision and strategy to customers
- Creating and delivering product and technical presentations to new and existing customers
- Qualifying sales opportunities through technical discovery based on customer needs and problems
- Becoming an expert in Fonoa's API capabilities and advocating for product improvements with internal teams
- Driving technical discussions with customers on features, integration, and implementation
- Owning technical scoping, gap analysis, and implementation planning
- Identifying process improvements and innovation opportunities
- Supporting customers on technical issues as needed
- Applying a methodical, organized approach to delivery
You will work across Fonoa's suite of API and UI products (Lookup, Tax, Returns, Data Sharing, E-Invoicing) and influence the product roadmap based on real customer challenges. This is a founding-stage role in a high-growth startup with significant impact potential.
