Salary: USD 182,000 - 226,000 / annual
Grafana Labs is seeking a Solutions Engineer for the Acquisition team to join their Commercial Solutions Engineering group. This is an early-stage opportunity on a high-growth team focused on solving technical and customer problems.
You will partner closely with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to potential and existing customers. Your primary responsibilities include owning technical customer engagements, delivering product and technical presentations, and helping close high-velocity opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge and technical credibility. You'll proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape, drive product conversations based on customer needs, and contribute to enablement materials including documentation, blog posts, videos, and knowledge base articles.
Grafana Cloud is a fully managed observability platform trusted by over 10,000 organizations including Anthropic, Bloomberg, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Salesforce. The platform brings AI to observability and observability to AI, providing unified visibility across disparate data sources. Grafana Labs is 100% remote with team members across 40+ countries, backed by leading investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, and Coatue.
The role offers in-person onboarding to connect with fellow new team members and learn the company culture. You'll work in a transparent, innovation-driven environment with high trust and low ego culture that values outcomes over optics. The company operates a global annual leave policy of 30 days per annum, with 3 days reserved for Grafana Shutdown Days.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open source technologies or in the metrics/monitoring space
- Strong technical mindset with desire to grow technically
- First-class written and oral communication skills for remote collaboration and customer engagement
- Ability to skillfully articulate technical advantages and value propositions
- Self-motivated, initiative-driven, and creative problem-solver
- Ideally located on the West Coast (though remote)
- Experience with varied and complex job duties requiring strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership
- Comfort working with international teams in a remote-first environment
