Salary: USD 170,000 - 190,000 / annual
LangChain is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the Professional Services team. You'll work directly with enterprise customers to design, deploy, and optimize production-grade AI infrastructure and agent systems. This role combines software development, infrastructure/platform engineering, and customer-facing skills.
Key responsibilities include designing scalable, highly-available infrastructure for AI platform deployments (compute, storage, networking, security), implementing enterprise integration patterns, and Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform, Helm). You'll architect multi-region HA/DR strategies and CI/CD pipelines. On the agent engineering side, you'll design multi-agent systems using modern frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph), implement agent logic, design comprehensive evaluation frameworks, optimize prompts with A/B testing, and guide deployment and operations.
You'll lead technical maturity assessments with enterprise customers, understand their requirements, present recommendations, and partner with Engagement Managers and Product/Engineering teams.
Required experience includes 7+ years in technical, hands-on customer-facing roles (Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, or founder background). Infrastructure expertise needed: 3+ years designing and deploying production infrastructure on cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), strong Kubernetes experience (GKE, EKS, AKS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm), database systems knowledge, HA/DR design, networking, security (SSO/RBAC, TLS, secrets management), and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
Agent engineering requirements: 1+ years building production AI/ML applications or agents, strong LLM framework experience (LangChain, LangGraph), state management patterns, evaluation framework design, prompt engineering and A/B testing, vector stores and RAG patterns, tool integration and API design, and strong Python/TypeScript skills.
Customer-facing experience with enterprise customers, technical assessment/audit experience, and strong communication skills explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences are essential. You should have excellent problem-solving abilities, cross-functional collaboration experience, a consultative approach, and hands-on development background.
