Salary: USD 170,000 - 190,000 / annual
LangChain is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the Professional Services team, working directly with enterprise customers to design, deploy, and optimize production-grade AI infrastructure and agent systems. This role combines software development, infrastructure/platform engineering, and customer-facing expertise.
Key responsibilities include designing scalable, highly-available infrastructure for AI platform deployments across compute, storage, networking, and security domains. You'll architect multi-agent systems using modern frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph, implement comprehensive evaluation frameworks, and optimize prompts through A/B testing. You'll also lead technical maturity assessments with enterprise customers, understand their requirements, and present architectural recommendations while partnering with Engagement Managers and internal Product/Engineering teams.
Required experience includes 7+ years in technical, customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect or Forward Deployed Engineer. Infrastructure expertise needed: 3+ years designing and deploying production infrastructure on GCP, AWS, or Azure; strong Kubernetes experience (GKE, EKS, AKS) including cluster design and multi-zone deployments; Infrastructure as Code proficiency (Terraform, Helm); knowledge of database systems with HA/replication/backup strategies; high-availability and disaster recovery design; networking, security (SSO/RBAC, TLS, secrets management), and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog); and CI/CD pipeline experience.
Agent engineering requirements: 1+ years building production AI/ML applications or agents; strong LLM framework experience (LangChain, LangGraph); state management patterns; evaluation framework design; prompt engineering and optimization skills; vector stores and RAG patterns; tool integration and API design; and strong Python/TypeScript development skills.
Customer-facing experience with enterprise clients, technical assessment/audit capabilities, and excellent communication skills explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences are essential. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, consultative approach, and balance between infrastructure architecture and agent development work.
