Cohere is a leading enterprise AI company building cutting-edge foundation models and end-to-end products for businesses. As a Solutions Architect for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), you will drive AI adoption across enterprises and public institutions in defence, financial services, telecommunications, energy, and the public sector.
You will sit at the intersection of forward-deployed engineering and AI transformation, serving as a technical expert, trusted advisor, product evangelist, and thought leader. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing deep understanding of customer problems and mapping them to Cohere solutions
- Owning the technical relationship with enterprise and government stakeholders
- Leading the design and deployment of customer pilots that demonstrate technology impact
- Owning the customer's technical narrative end-to-end, from discovery and architecture through pilot results and business case development
- Leading technical discussions on customer calls and designing enterprise architectures for on-prem, air-gapped, and sovereign cloud deployments compliant with GDPR, BSI C5, and EU AI Act requirements
- Conducting deep dives on customer queries and Cohere technology
- Working with customer executives to prioritize use cases, define success metrics, and build business cases for AI adoption
- Facilitating customer evaluations and pilots within their technology stack
- Owning technical responses to RFPs and public tenders, including security questionnaires and requirements mapping
- Developing and documenting processes to enable team scaling
- Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to ensure offerings match customer needs
- Working closely with system integrators, consultancies, and sovereign cloud providers to develop enablement strategies

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years in customer-facing technical roles (consulting data scientist, forward deployed engineer, deployment strategist, or solutions architect) taking AI or data solutions from executive problem framing to production
- Passion for Agentic AI with practical understanding of where LLMs deliver value in production and where they don't
- Solid grounding in ML fundamentals (training, evaluation, retrieval) and ability to design evaluation frameworks for customer pilots
- Excellent communication skills—ability to toggle seamlessly between presenting to CEOs and engaging with technical audiences
- Comfort working in ambiguity and establishing high-impact structure and processes
- Comfortable working with Python and Assistive Coding tools
- Professional fluency in English and German (C1 or higher, verhandlungssicher)
- Bonus: experience in the German market (system integrator, consultancy, or RFP/public tender work)
Note: Role is open to a range of experience levels from Associate to Staff-level Individual Contributors; stated experience is a bare minimum.
