Diligent is seeking a Business Development Representative I (BDR I) to drive new business growth through prospecting and engaging potential clients. As a BDR I, you will build outbound pipeline, generate interest in Diligent's governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) SaaS solutions, and serve as a brand ambassador for the product suite.
Key responsibilities include:
- Using lead generation tools (cold calling, LinkedIn, Outreach, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, etc.) to extract contacts and create targeted prospect lists
- Conducting sales development activities via email, phone, and social channels to connect with new prospects
- Asking strategic, targeted questions to identify and qualify decision makers
- Building interest and influencing opportunities with new prospects
- Coordinating meetings and demonstrations on account executives' calendars
- Logging all activities in the CRM system
- Meeting or exceeding assigned targets and KPIs
- Assisting team members with effective techniques to drive overall team performance
- Supporting other business needs as requested

Requirements:
- English language proficiency (essential)
- Strong passion for working in a sales-focused, target-driven environment
- Solid understanding of the sales process, including marketing, prospecting, cold calling, and sales cycle management
- Proven ability to effectively communicate product value propositions and quickly gain in-depth product knowledge
- Exceptional communication skills with a track record of engaging and influencing senior-level executives
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills with ability to deliver clear, persuasive messages
- High energy with a positive, can-do attitude
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in SaaS sales
- Track record of building strong stakeholder relationships at C-suite level
