Salary: USD 101,000 - 119,000 / annual
Celonis is the trusted platform to industrialize Enterprise AI, combining process data, business knowledge, and intelligence into a living digital twin of the enterprise. As a Solutions Architect, you will be a key technical resource ensuring customers' data flows reliably, securely, and at scale into the Celonis Platform, with insights and actions flowing back into customer systems and AI tools.
You'll join the customer programs team as one of the first technical faces of Celonis, working hands-on across the full integration toolkit. Your responsibilities span data integration and ingestion, actions and AI connectivity, identity and security, and customer impact.
Data Integration & Ingestion: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Celonis out-of-the-box extractors for SAP (ECC and S/4HANA), JDBC databases, and cloud applications (Salesforce, ServiceNow). Design and build custom API connectors using Celonis Extractor Builder for REST/SOAP APIs, handling authentication (OAuth 2.0, API keys, certificates), pagination, rate limits, and incremental loads. Help customers design and develop Python scripts and pipelines for push-based data ingestion via the Data Ingestion API. Set up zero-copy data sharing between Celonis and customer lakehouses (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) including Delta Sharing configuration and access controls.
Actions, AI & Platform Connectivity: Configure Action Flows and integration patterns that write back to customer systems (SAP, Salesforce, ticketing tools) to turn insights into action. Help customers connect Celonis to their LLMs and AI agents through MCP, covering authentication, permissions, and governance.
Identity, Security & Governance: Configure SSO (SAML, OIDC) with identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and Ping. Set up SCIM-based user and group provisioning. Support customer security, privacy, and compliance reviews; explain Celonis architecture and data flows; advise on data minimization, pseudonymization, and least-privilege access.
Customer & Team Impact: Run technical discovery and document integration architectures and requirements. Escalate product gaps and bugs with clear, reproducible detail. Share field feedback that shapes the integration roadmap. Build reusable connector templates, scripts, runbooks, and best-practice documentation.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role (solutions engineering, integration/implementation consulting, data engineering, or technical consulting)
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and common authentication patterns (OAuth 2.0, API keys, tokens); comfort using tools like Postman
- Solid programming skills in Python (or similar language) and strong SQL skills
- Working knowledge of data pipelines and ETL/ELT concepts, including incremental loads, scheduling, and handling large data volumes
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts (SSO, SAML/OIDC, SCIM provisioning)
- Basic understanding of networking and security fundamentals (TLS, certificates, proxies, firewalls, VPNs)
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders; ability to manage workstreams across multiple customer projects
- Curiosity, ownership, and bias toward solving problems hands-on
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have:
- Experience with SAP data structures, tables, or extraction (RFC, ODP, S/4HANA)
- Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or lakehouse platforms (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake)
- Exposure to iPaaS or low-code integration tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Power Automate)
- Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, or MCP
- Experience with Docker or Linux server administration
- Relevant certifications (Celonis, cloud, or SAP)
