Sakana AI is seeking a Solution Engineer to lead the implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions in customer environments, with a focus on complex financial institution deployments. You will drive technical problem-solving across challenging infrastructure constraints including closed networks, legacy systems, and strict security requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
1. System Implementation & Deployment: Lead end-to-end implementation of Sakana AI products from requirements gathering and infrastructure design through deployment (on-premises, closed networks) to integration with existing systems and comprehensive testing. Navigate stringent security requirements while ensuring reliable system deployment in customer environments.
2. Operations & Continuous Value Delivery: Design monitoring, backup, and AI model accuracy monitoring processes to support production stability. Perform performance tuning and technical troubleshooting during incidents. Drive continuous value maximization through ongoing feature rollouts and system optimization.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Product Feedback: Partner with Technical Program Managers and partner companies to manage technical risks and drive projects forward. Document technical insights and customer needs from deployment experiences and feed them back to the applied product team to inform product evolution.
Required qualifications:
- Backend web application development and operations experience
- System deployment experience in customer environments (on-premises or cloud)
- Infrastructure building and operations experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Implementation experience with authentication (SAML, OIDC), API integration, and data connectivity
- Business-level Japanese language proficiency and ability to understand business documents
Preferred experience:
- Financial institution or enterprise system deployments (closed networks, security audits)
- SIer, IT consulting, or enterprise SaaS implementation support background
- Python or TypeScript development
- Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- AI/LLM application development and operations
