Veeam, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Solutions Architect / Implementation Consultant for its Professional Services team in Tokyo. This role bridges solution design and hands-on delivery, translating customer requirements into detailed implementation plans and executing them to production-ready outcomes.
You will design technically sound Veeam solution architectures based on customer requirements, existing infrastructure, and best practices. You'll lead technical implementation and configuration of Veeam products within customer environments, from initial setup through production cutover. Key responsibilities include translating pre-sales designs into detailed low-level design documentation with sizing, configuration standards, and architecture diagrams; validating infrastructure prerequisites and identifying risks before deployment; partnering with Project Managers to align technical delivery with project timelines; executing Customer Infrastructure and Veeam Product Health Check assessments; performing testing and validation including backup/recovery and failover testing; troubleshooting complex technical issues during implementation; documenting as-built configurations and runbooks; providing technical guidance on solution operation and optimization; collaborating with Sales Engineers during pre-sales handoff; identifying opportunities for solution improvement and automation; and maintaining expertise across the Veeam product portfolio and related infrastructure technologies.
You bring 3+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect, Implementation Consultant, or similar hands-on technical delivery role. You have strong working knowledge of data protection, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery concepts and technologies. You can design and implement solutions across virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and enterprise storage. You demonstrate the ability to translate customer requirements into detailed technical designs and execute those designs in production environments. You have strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication abilities to explain technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
Bonus qualifications include Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or higher-level Veeam certification, additional certifications in virtualization, cloud, or storage technologies, experience delivering infrastructure or product Health Check assessments, experience in Professional Services at a technology vendor or partner, and scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, REST API).
