Hisense is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join their TV software quality assurance team in Suwanee, Georgia. This role combines hands-on testing expertise with customer-facing technical support responsibilities.
You will develop comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and stability of TV software. You'll execute testing activities, track and manage software defects, and collaborate closely with the development team to ensure timely issue resolution. Your work will include analyzing requirements and design documents to align testing activities with specifications, as well as organizing and managing user experience testing and user trials.
Beyond core QA work, you'll provide technical support and troubleshooting for products, resolving customer technical issues via phone, email, or remote connection. You'll gather customer feedback and escalate issues to relevant departments, write and maintain technical support documentation, FAQs, and user guides, and maintain testing environments and equipment to ensure testing accuracy. You'll also stay current with new testing techniques and tools to continuously enhance your skill proficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer, preferably in TV software
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and processes
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to quickly identify and analyze issues
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation; ability to listen patiently to customer issues and provide effective solutions
- Excellent teamwork spirit and ability to collaborate effectively with development teams
- Commitment to software quality; ability to maintain work efficiency and quality under pressure
- Good command of English in both written and verbal communication; capability to work with international teams
