Classiq Technologies is building the future of quantum computing by making it practical and impactful for enterprises and developers. The company's platform enables design, optimization, and deployment of quantum algorithms at scale, trusted by Fortune 500 companies and global governments. As a Software Tech Lead, you will guide engineering teams and projects while remaining hands-on with strong Python development skills. Your responsibilities include writing and reviewing production code (primarily Python, some TypeScript) with focus on clarity, performance, and maintainability. You'll lead technical design work—defining architecture, making trade-offs, and driving projects from proposal through production deployment. You will mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pair programming, sharing best practices and raising overall code quality through testing strategy, type hints, static analysis, documentation, and automation. A key focus is improving developer experience by accelerating CI/CD pipelines, enhancing build and test tooling, and ensuring reliable local development environments. You'll collaborate across product, infrastructure, and compiler teams to deliver features meeting reliability, latency, and scale requirements. You'll continuously reduce engineering toil by improving observability, simplifying workflows, and adopting tools that increase effectiveness. The role includes leveraging AI/LLM tooling to empower developers and streamline engineering processes with measurable impact on cycle time, flakiness, and onboarding. Required qualifications: extensive hands-on Python development in production systems, strong system design and scalable architecture experience, proven ability leading technical projects and guiding teams through design and implementation, demonstrated mentoring and clear communication skills, engineering excellence habits (testing, pre-commit hooks, documentation, CI/CD), comfort with modern workflows (Git, GitHub Actions, agile), and hands-on experience applying AI/LLMs to developer workflows. B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or related field required. Bonus qualifications include cloud and DevOps experience (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), developer tooling background, familiarity with quantum frameworks, domain-specific language experience, and open-source contributions.
