ScreenPoint Medical is seeking a hands-on Software Team Lead to lead one of its engineering teams and drive the adoption of AI solutions in clinical practice. This is a hybrid technical and people-leadership role combining strong software engineering expertise with day-to-day team management.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, data engineers, and QA test engineers through sprint planning, prioritization, and progress monitoring. Key responsibilities include guiding engineers in solving complex technical challenges, providing technical and personal leadership through coaching and mentoring, and translating clinical workflows into practical technical solutions. You'll remain closely involved in hands-on development, particularly in C++ and Python, while communicating progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders across the organization.
The role emphasizes strong engineering practices including continuous integration, test-driven development, version control, security, and quality assurance. You'll support verification and validation activities with the QA team and encourage responsible use of AI tools to enhance team productivity and problem-solving.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related field; strong software development experience in C++ and Python; prior experience leading or technically guiding engineering teams; ability to break down complex technical challenges; familiarity with CI/CD, testing practices, issue tracking, and version control; understanding of network and security considerations; and excellent English communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred experience includes medical device software development, AI/ML systems in production, software verification and validation, complex clinical workflows, team coaching or mentoring, and fast-growing engineering environments. Healthcare or medical device background is a plus but not required; the company seeks a technically strong leader who can combine hands-on engineering with coaching and the ability to learn the clinical and regulatory environment quickly.
