Eli Health is developing Hormometer®, the first instant hormone monitoring platform that delivers saliva-based hormone results to a mobile app within minutes. The company has spent six years in R&D, completed over 2,000 product iterations, and holds a dozen patent-pending innovations. The platform tracks biomarkers related to stress, endurance, sleep, and other health metrics.
You will join the product team as a Software QA Engineer, serving as the voice of the customer within the organization. Working closely with product and design teams, you will ensure that shipped features match design specifications and maintain a high-quality user experience across releases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Verifying features against design specs and acceptance criteria, identifying gaps between design intent and implementation
- Owning the bug backlog in Jira: reproducing, documenting, and prioritizing issues to prevent backlog growth
- Maintaining and expanding the automated end-to-end test suite (Maestro) to cover critical scenarios on iOS and Android
- Keeping tests stable in CI pipelines (GitHub Actions): investigating failures, fixing flaky tests, and flagging real regressions
- Manual testing on real devices to catch usability and edge-case issues that automation cannot
- Collaborating with developers, designers, and product managers to build quality into features before development begins

REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of relevant work experience
- Able to read and write code proficiently and learn a test automation framework
- Demonstrated engineering problem-solving (work, side, or school project you can discuss)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Based in Montreal and willing to work from the office
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Experience with mobile end-to-end frameworks (Maestro, Detox, Appium) or automated testing
- Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, or React Native
- Experience with git and CI pipelines (GitHub Actions)
- Experience reading design specs in Figma
- Interest in health or digital health
