Unframe is an AI-first startup enabling Fortune 500 enterprises to deploy LLM-powered applications in days rather than months. Backed by Bessemer, Craft, and TLV Partners with $50M Series A funding, the company combines product-company speed with consultancy flexibility to serve the world's largest organizations. This Engineering Tech Lead role is a hybrid individual contributor and technical leader position. You'll be deeply hands-on with code and architecture while also leading strategic technical initiatives, representing the company to enterprise customers, and influencing company-wide engineering standards. The role spans multiple teams and domains, requiring you to move fluidly between deep technical work (architecture, coding) and high-level customer conversations with C-suite executives. Key responsibilities include: leading architecture and technical direction for strategic enterprise AI initiatives; designing and delivering scalable AI-powered solutions directly with Fortune 500 customers; partnering cross-functionally with Platform, Product, and Engineering teams; driving complex technical decisions around scalability, reliability, performance, and system design; helping customers solve production challenges and build long-term technical trust; designing enterprise-grade solutions across diverse customer environments; and influencing long-term technical direction and engineering practices. Required qualifications: 7+ years software engineering experience; strong hands-on expertise with Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks; deep experience designing scalable production systems and distributed architectures; strong architectural thinking combined with builder mentality; experience with enterprise customers or large-scale deployments; experience building AI/LLM-powered products or platforms; excellent communication skills for technical conversations with both engineers and executives; high ownership mentality and ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments. This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of engineering, architecture, AI, product, and customer strategy within a fast-growing AI company. You'll work directly with founders and senior engineering leaders on high-impact initiatives that shape both product and company direction. The role requires someone equally comfortable writing code, designing systems, and engaging with customers. Work is on-site from Tel Aviv offices.
