Unframe is an AI-first startup helping Fortune 500 enterprises deploy LLM-powered applications in days rather than months. Backed by Bessemer, Craft, and TLV Partners with $50M Series A funding, the company combines product-company speed with consultancy flexibility to accelerate enterprise AI adoption.
You'll serve as an Engineering Tech Lead driving strategic technical initiatives across the organization. This is a deeply hands-on role that bridges engineering, architecture, and customer strategy. You'll spend time writing code and designing systems, then pivot to advising enterprise customers and senior stakeholders on critical technical decisions. The role operates across multiple teams and domains, partnering with Platform, Product, and Engineering to design and deliver AI-powered enterprise solutions at scale.
Key responsibilities include leading architecture and technical direction for strategic enterprise AI initiatives, working directly with Fortune 500 companies to design scalable solutions, partnering cross-functionally across teams, staying hands-on with code and engineering teams, driving complex technical decisions around scalability and system design, helping customers solve production challenges, designing enterprise-grade solutions for diverse environments, influencing engineering standards and long-term technical direction, and operating in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.
You'll need 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks. Deep experience designing scalable production systems and distributed architectures is essential. You should have a track record working with enterprise customers or large-scale deployments, ideally building AI/LLM-powered products or platforms. Excellent communication skills, high ownership mentality, and comfort operating independently in ambiguous environments are critical. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing code, designing systems, and engaging with customers and executives.
This role offers rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of engineering, architecture, AI, product, and customer strategy within a fast-growing company. You'll work directly with founders and senior engineering leaders on high-impact initiatives that shape both product and company direction.
