Sanity is building an AI-powered Content Operations platform that helps enterprises model, create, and automate content at scale. The company's Content Lake holds structured content for customers like SKIMS, Figma, Riot Games, and Anthropic, enabling AI assistants to understand and work with content in ways generic tools cannot.
You will lead a team of 4 engineers (with room to grow) building Sanity Content Agent—an intelligent assistant that audits thousands of documents, surfaces inconsistencies, and generates perfectly structured content respecting complex validation rules. The role balances LLM integration, agentic workflows, and product sensibility to create AI that content teams trust.
Key responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing team work for maximum impact, balancing technical excellence with shipping velocity, championing developer experience while building for non-technical content creators, and working closely with the Head of Engineering, product management, and design to establish scalable processes. You'll support team growth and development while influencing the direction of both Sanity and modern web development.
Required qualifications: 1+ years of engineering management experience and 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in developer tools or content platforms. Strong technical background in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web technologies. Understanding of prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, embedding models, vector search, and grounding AI in structured data. Track record shipping user-facing products at scale and leading teams building complex, extensible applications.
The role requires being based in London or Oslo with ability to work 2-3 days per week in office. Sanity offers competitive salary, stock options, comprehensive health plans, flexible work environment, and a 200+ person team of ambitious, committed people. The company recently raised $85M Series C and is backed by leading investors including GP Bullhound, ICONIQ Growth, and founders from Vercel, WPEngine, Twitter, and Netlify.
