Salary: USD 180,000 - 440,000 / annual
xAI is building AI systems to understand the universe and advance human knowledge. The X Developer Platform team owns the partner ecosystem connecting X (formerly Twitter) with developers globally. X reaches 500+ million active users generating billions of posts weekly, creating real-time signals across conversations, media, commerce, and communities.
You'll work on the "everything API" that makes X's data and capabilities available to B2B and B2C developers worldwide. The platform processes hundreds of billions of signals daily, delivering real-time posts, historical search, content creation APIs, engagement analytics, enrichment layers, and agent-friendly interfaces. You'll help shape the architecture as it evolves to serve new consumer categories including AI agents and automated systems.
Responsibilities include collaborating across engineering, product, and business teams; maintaining and improving systems for existing customers while designing new products; architecting clean, reliable solutions for scale and developer experience; and helping evolve the platform's architecture.

Required: BS/MS in Computer Science, 5+ years commercial software experience, distributed systems expertise (Kafka a plus), RPC frameworks and microservices knowledge, core CS fundamentals, front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
