You will join the engineering team to design and build scalable backend systems and data platforms that process massive volumes of industrial data. This is a hands-on role focused on distributed systems, data processing, cloud infrastructure, and backend services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices supporting high-volume industrial data workloads
- Build and improve distributed data pipelines using Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, and similar technologies
- Develop reliable, high-performance APIs and backend services with emphasis on scalability, availability, and maintainability
- Work with large datasets to optimize data processing, storage, and retrieval workflows
- Contribute to system design and architecture discussions around scalability and reliability
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional teams
You will play a key role in building the backend and data infrastructure powering Cognite's industrial data platform, directly contributing to making large-scale industrial data more accessible, reliable, and performant for global customers. You'll tackle challenging distributed systems problems and contribute to a highly scalable cloud-native platform.
