Gallatin is rebuilding logistics infrastructure for U.S. national security missions and allied partners. The company builds AI systems that determine how logistics decisions are made, operating at the layer where data becomes decisions.
In this role, you will build demo-able end-to-end flows that make resupply operations smarter, faster, and more resilient. You'll work daily with a top-tier engineering team that values thoughtful design and practical impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and deliver features supporting the mission, extending the existing API layer with performant CRUD methods focused on performance and accuracy
- Collaborate with UX and backend teams on rapid feature buildouts
- Contribute tested, production-ready code that passes CI/CD pipelines
- Design and maintain data models and pipelines powering the Navigator platform
- Define and evolve relational database schemas to represent complex real-world entities
- Build data pipelines to ingest, transform, and distribute data between systems
- Leverage semantic data modeling SDKs to architect efficient storage and retrieval
- Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to ensure features align with user needs and mission outcomes
- Contribute to engineering best practices including code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD pipeline refinement

REQUIREMENTS:
- Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI security clearance required
- U.S. citizenship required (proof required prior to employment)
- Technical proficiency: comfortable debugging across the entire tech stack, familiarity with HTTP request codes, experience developing backend APIs or services in a strongly-typed language
- Data modeling and architecture: hands-on experience with relational databases (schema design, query optimization, data integrity), experience with data streams and/or building/maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes
- Strong communicator with experience working across diverse teams (engineering, product, design)
- Growth mindset with commitment to continuous learning
- Technical depth preferred in at least one of: Typescript, Python, SQL, Vue.js
BONUS:
- Experience building offline-first or progressive web applications (PWAs) with limited/intermittent connectivity
- DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code experience (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Cloud-based architecture experience (AWS, Azure, Palantir Foundry)
- Open-source contributions
