Robinhood is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Wallet team, which is building secure, intuitive, and decentralized products that enable users to custody and manage digital assets. The team's mission is to democratize access to financial services worldwide by leveraging DeFi protocols and Robinhood Chain, working at the intersection of traditional finance and web3.
In this role, you will design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services that power Robinhood Wallet. You'll develop product-facing features and platform enhancements that meet strict correctness and scalability standards, including support for cryptocurrencies, tokenized stocks, and perpetual futures. You'll identify and implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction while collaborating closely with client teams, product managers, designers, and external vendors.
You'll own backend services, infrastructure, and data systems that support the wallet products, working to deliver a highly secure and efficient trading experience for customers worldwide. The role involves designing scalable architectures, maintaining high-quality codebases, and collaborating with other engineering teams to guide key technical decisions and raise engineering standards across the team.
The position is based in the Toronto office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Robinhood emphasizes the value of in-person work for accelerating progress, sparking innovation, and strengthening community.
