Salary: USD 200,000 - 230,000 / annual
Snorkel AI is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to build and scale testing infrastructure and tooling that accelerates engineering velocity and product quality. The role goes beyond traditional QA, focusing on designing and maintaining automated testing systems, creating internal developer tools, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in partnership with DevOps.
Key responsibilities include:
- Refining and evolving testing infrastructure and tooling to enable high-quality feature shipping at scale
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing systems
- Creating internal tools that improve developer productivity and shorten iteration cycles
- Partnering with DevOps to optimize test execution and reliability within CI/CD pipelines
- Driving best practices in testing, observability, and release confidence across the engineering organization
You'll bring 3-5 years of experience scaling test frameworks, infrastructure, and developer tooling. Required technical skills include proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python, hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (CircleCI, Buildkite, or similar), and the ability to operate in ambiguous environments while bringing structure to complex problems. A systems mindset focused on reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability is essential.
