Anduril Industries is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Air & Missile Defense Radar team in Broomfield or Fort Collins, Colorado. This role focuses on designing and implementing advanced tracking algorithms and high-performance software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real-time.
You will work on sophisticated multi-target tracking solutions, track fusion, and discrimination techniques that process massive amounts of sensor data in milliseconds. Key responsibilities include developing real-time software systems capable of maintaining tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets, building modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance, and optimizing software for performance-critical environments where latency is mission-critical.
You'll collaborate directly with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systems, communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams and customers, and participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment. This is production-grade systems work—not research—where your algorithms and code directly impact military capabilities and protect lives.
Required qualifications include 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field. You must have strong programming skills in C++ and Python, a solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations), and understanding of software engineering fundamentals including design patterns, testing, version control, and debugging.
