Salary: USD 169,208 - 177,668 / annual
Archer is an aerospace company building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for sustainable air mobility. The company is designing, manufacturing, and operating electric aircraft capable of carrying four passengers with minimal noise.
In this role, you will architect, design, and implement distributed data services supporting large-scale data processing for flight test programs and operations. Key responsibilities include:
• Architect and implement distributed data services for large-scale data processing needs
• Lead orchestration and optimization of high-volume ETL pipelines handling timeseries and telemetry data critical to flight testing
• Oversee and manage Kubernetes-native autoscaling services for dynamic workload handling
• Design data threshold-based alerting pipelines and partner with avionics engineers and cross-functional teams to identify critical data features that accelerate analysis
• Research, evaluate, and adopt new data ingestion, storage, and retrieval technologies to improve platform performance, reliability, and scalability
You will transform raw flight and operational data into intelligent analytical products that support decision-making across the organization.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Minimum 12 months of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or related role with demonstrated proficiency in Python, AWS, Data Governance, ETL Pipeline development, and Docker.
