Aalyria is a leading aerospace technology company supplying laser communications and software-defined networking platforms for satellite and airborne mesh networks, cislunar, and deep-space communications. The company was founded with technology acquired from Google and is revolutionizing orchestration and management of planetary mesh networks across land, sea, air, and space.
As a Software Engineer on the Simulation Systems team, you will build core product capabilities that help customers understand, plan, and operate complex communications networks. You'll develop simulation and planning tools that enable users to explore "what if" scenarios before committing to real-world changes, modeling hypothetical network configurations and surfacing tradeoffs to de-risk decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build simulation and planning capabilities for exploring hypothetical network scenarios
- Enable users to vary network configurations, conditions, and assumptions and evaluate their potential effects
- Build tools for comparing scenarios, understanding tradeoffs, and identifying risks and opportunities
- Develop scalable, reliable systems for managing and evaluating complex scenarios
- Collaborate across Product Engineering to integrate simulation and planning into broader product workflows
You'll work on a small, highly collaborative team with broad ownership. Engineers work across the full stack designing, building, testing, and operating capabilities end to end, with real influence over both what gets built and how it's built. The systems you build must reason about dynamic networks across both space and time while remaining reliable, scalable, and understandable in real-world operation.
