Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion. The Air & Missile Defense Radar team develops cutting-edge tracking algorithms and software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real-time.
In this role, you will design and implement advanced tracking algorithms for novel air and missile threats, including multi-target tracking, track fusion, and discrimination techniques. You'll develop high-performance, real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets. The work spans the full spectrum—from developing novel algorithms to building distributed systems that process massive amounts of sensor data in milliseconds.
Key responsibilities include building and leveraging modeling & simulation environments to validate tracking performance, collaborating directly with radar engineers and system architects to integrate solutions into end-to-end defense systems, and optimizing tracking software for performance-critical environments. You'll communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, program leadership, and customers, and participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment.
Required qualifications: 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent). Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations), and understanding of software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, version control, debugging).
