The Ray Data team is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and optimize Ray Data, a Python-native data processing engine designed as a one-stop solution for AI data processing needs. Ray Data provides performant integration with cutting-edge AI frameworks for both multi-modal and structured data.
In this role, you will improve the performance of Ray Data and multi-modal batch inference use cases, ensure efficient scaling across different pipeline stages in heterogeneous environments, build data loading solutions for production training workloads, and focus on stability and fault tolerance at high scale. You'll work directly with customers and AI-native companies to help them scale their AI workloads.
You should have at least 3-4 years of relevant work experience with a solid background in building scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems. Experience with data processing and database internals is required. A passion for large-scale systems and performance optimization for AI workloads is essential.
