Triumph is a high-growth consumer platform operating at the intersection of gaming, finance, and social, with 16x year-over-year growth. As a Software Engineer on the Product Platform team, you will own the critical systems that every product at Triumph depends on—cross-platform payments and ledger infrastructure, onboarding and identity verification, notifications, anti-fraud and player-trust systems, and the internal operational dashboard used by support and operations teams.
You will be responsible for keeping these mission-critical systems healthy, resilient, and capable as the company scales. Your work spans designing systems that handle real money with correctness, durability, and auditability; building anti-fraud enforcement and dispute-handling tooling; scaling identity verification, geolocation, eligibility rules, and background job infrastructure through hypergrowth across multiple products and countries; and expanding platform capabilities with new payment rails and market support.
You'll own the internal dashboard and operational tooling that the support, payments operations, and fraud teams rely on daily, making it faster to understand what's happening and safer to take action. You'll also have the flexibility to take on greenfield projects that make the entire engineering team more productive, and you'll integrate AI agents as a core part of your development workflow, not as an afterthought.
Triumph operates with high agency—builders build, with blast radius contained by modularity and feature flags rather than process gates. The team is small, ownership is real, and there is significant room for leadership. The work is visible across the company and matters directly: real money moves through your systems every minute.
The team gathers in person 5 days a week at Triumph's headquarters at Levi's Plaza in San Francisco.

- Treat AI development as a core part of your workflow, not a novelty; demonstrated ability to show how AI changed what you ship
- Strong backend fundamentals; stack is Go and Postgres on Google Cloud; deep experience in any typed backend language transfers
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience scaling infrastructure at a startup
- Direct fintech or gaming platform experience
- Familiarity with banking, identity, and communication vendors
