As a Software Engineer on the Product Experience team, you will develop full-stack product experiences for Dispatch Intelligence users—customers managing battery energy storage systems for cost savings and faster interconnection. You'll design, build, and maintain both frontend and backend components of the energy storage application suite.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop intuitive, user-friendly software experiences
- Designing, building, testing, and scaling user-facing software and related components across the stack
- Integrating frontend components (React, TypeScript, Next.js) with backend APIs (Go, Python)
- Building and maintaining interactive data visualizations using ECharts and D3
- Implementing backend APIs, middleware, and database integration with Postgres/AlloyDB
- Managing user authentication and authorization using services like Clerk
- Optimizing application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Evaluating and recommending new tools, systems, and architectures
Required qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in both frontend (TypeScript, React) and backend (Go, Python) ecosystems
- Ability to translate complex product requirements into functional software
- Commitment to high-quality software delivery and best practices
- Customer empathy and focus on crafting quality user experiences
- Proficiency with generative AI tools
Preferred qualifications include senior or staff-level experience, technical leadership in high-performing teams, expert TypeScript and Go skills, experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers, deep database and cloud storage knowledge, design systems experience, and cloud-native architecture expertise.
