Snorkel AI is hiring Product Engineers to build end-to-end products that help enterprises transform expert knowledge into specialized AI at scale. Founded as a Stanford AI Lab research project in 2015, Snorkel has evolved to serve some of the world's largest organizations, empowering scientists, engineers, financial experts, and product creators to build custom AI with their data.
In this role, you'll own features across the full stack—from React/TypeScript front-end interfaces through the APIs and backend services that power them. You'll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into elegant, intuitive experiences. Your responsibilities include:
- Building, shipping, and maintaining high-quality product features with full ownership from design through production
- Enabling operations teams to move fast by building abstractions and tools for safe agent workflow usage
- Collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to define and implement solutions
- Contributing to architecture decisions across the stack, advocating for scalability and maintainability
- Driving best practices for accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
- Designing and building APIs and services where features require it
- Participating in code reviews and raising quality standards
- Troubleshooting and resolving performance and production issues
- Working hybrid with at least three days per week in either San Francisco or New York office
You'll need 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong depth in React and TypeScript, solid full-stack or front-end fundamentals, and comfort with HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks like Tailwind. Experience with state management (Redux, React Context API), RESTful API design, and backend fluency (Node.js, Python) is essential. You should have a proven track record delivering scalable, maintainable code in product environments, strong communication skills, and the ability to prototype and iterate quickly on sophisticated workflows.
Nice-to-have skills include design systems experience, server-side rendering frameworks (Next.js), web performance optimization, prior work in developer tools or data-heavy products, and full-stack feature ownership from database through UI.
This is not a feature-factory role—you'll have meaningful ownership over products used by technical and enterprise teams solving high-stakes problems, working with a team that cares deeply about craft.
