Eventual is a Series A AI infrastructure company building Daft, a distributed data engine purpose-built for multimodal AI. The company is solving a critical bottleneck in Physical AI development: today's data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) weren't designed for the petabytes of video, lidar, radar, and sensor data that power robotics, autonomous vehicles, and video generation models. As a result, AI teams spend most of their iteration cycle finding and curating the right data rather than training models.
Daft is already in production at Amazon, major FAANG companies, Mobileye, TogetherAI, and CloudKitchens, processing 2-100+ PB daily. The company has raised $30M from top-tier investors including Felicis, CRV, Microsoft M12, and Y Combinator, with a team drawn from AWS, Render, Pinecone, and Tesla.
As a Fullstack Software Engineer on the Product team, you'll own the user-facing interface that Physical AI researchers interact with daily. You'll design and build the product surface for exploring, querying, and curating multimodal datasets—including video playback, clip-level annotation, visualizations over corpus composition, and the APIs that let customers integrate the platform into their training stacks.
Key responsibilities include: designing and building the product UI for multimodal data exploration and curation; building backend APIs that drive the UI and support customer integrations; creating analytics that help researchers understand dataset composition, query quality, and training-job provenance; collaborating closely with the Visual Understanding, Dataloading, and Storage teams to keep the product layer thin and performant; and gathering requirements directly from researchers at design-partner labs, shipping features in days rather than quarters.
You'll work in a small, high-impact team with a bias toward shipping. The role values getting a flawed v1 in front of users today over specifying a perfect v2 for next month. You'll have direct feedback loops with Physical AI researchers at partner labs and the opportunity to influence the data infrastructure powering the next generation of AI systems.
The team works 4 days/week in-office at the SF Mission district office, with competitive compensation, meaningful equity, catered meals, health benefits, and latest Apple equipment.
