Celonis is the global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, a fast-growing enterprise SaaS company pioneering AI-driven business process optimization. The Process Mining Innovation (PMI) team is an R&D-focused group developing cutting-edge algorithms and solutions for process discovery and data-driven process modeling.
In this role, you will join the Process Mining Technology division as a Software Engineer specializing in Object-Centric Process Mining (OCPM), a novel multidimensional approach defining the future of process mining. You will translate innovative requirements into functional, high-performance code; rigorously evaluate efficacy and performance; and integrate solutions into the existing product suite in collaboration with product managers and fellow engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
**Product & Strategy:** Partner with the PMI team to understand state-of-the-art OCPM capabilities and identify valuable new solutions. Guide and influence OCPM feature development by collaborating with platform product managers and engineers. Define optimal user experience working closely with the UX team.
**Development & Implementation:** Write high-quality, functional code from innovative ideas and requirements. Evaluate code efficacy and performance rigorously. Implement and integrate new solutions into the existing product suite. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure successful production deployment.
**Research & Innovation:** Publish research findings in top-tier scientific outlets. Patent inventive work. Support coordination of funded research projects.
Required qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Informatics, or comparable field. You need hands-on experience with Process Mining, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik); initial programming experience; database and ETL process knowledge; strong communication skills with customer engagement interest; fluent English (spoken and written); and ability to work independently with out-of-the-box thinking.
Preferred qualifications include German language knowledge and experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
