Cloudflare's Developer Productivity team builds internal platforms and tools that accelerate engineering velocity across the company. The team owns developer productivity infrastructure (code commit to production), CI/CD systems, build tooling, AI-assisted development, and internal dogfooding of Cloudflare's own platform. In this role, you'll be a core engineer on a small, high-impact team responsible for building and operating internal developer platforms. You'll have significant ownership from day one, working across multiple domains: developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and AI-assisted development including MCP servers, agents, evaluations, and context engineering. Key responsibilities include: - Design and build developer productivity tools, MCP servers, and AI agents that improve engineering efficiency - Automate Cloudflare's Engineering Codex (internal standards) through CI/CD checks, templates, and policy-as-code - Monitor adoption of Codex controls, improve enforcement mechanisms, and support remediation workflows - Enhance GitOps workflows, developer experience, platform security, and system reliability - Collaborate with product teams on architecture decisions and platform adoption strategies - Respond to and prevent incidents affecting internal platforms You should have strong experience with TypeScript, Go, or Bash, solid debugging and source-control skills, and hands-on experience with CI/CD, GitOps, or developer platforms. The ideal candidate can break down complex problems, evaluate trade-offs clearly, and communicate effectively with a focus on developer experience. Bonus qualifications include experience with AI agents, MCP, LLM-based tooling, policy-as-code, platform engineering, or operating distributed/Kubernetes systems. The team has seen 4-6x adoption growth in AI-assisted development over the past year, and you'll help scale and improve these tools.
