The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech infrastructure, and external APIs. As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll design, develop, and maintain robust APIs that power the product ecosystem. Key responsibilities include building and optimizing the public TTS API, internal services (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Consumption Tracking), and collaborating on B2B enterprise solutions.
You'll work in a flat organization where technical excellence and consistent delivery create leadership opportunities. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, enhance performance, and ensure scalability across the platform.
Required skills: backend development with TypeScript/Node.js, hands-on GCP experience, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred: Docker containerization and Kubernetes deployment experience. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates clearly, and is obsessed with shipping quality products quickly.
