The Platform team owns all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs—including the public TTS API and internal systems for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align architecture with product strategy and user experience.
Key responsibilities include building scalable backend infrastructure, enhancing B2B solutions with customization and integration for enterprise clients, and working closely with product and frontend teams. The ideal candidate has proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js (required), direct GCP experience, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Docker and Kubernetes experience is preferred. You should be efficient at ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact in a fast-paced environment.
