The Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal services for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
Key responsibilities include designing scalable backend systems, enhancing API performance, collaborating on B2B solutions for enterprise clients, and working with product and design teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. The role requires strong backend development skills in TypeScript/Node.js, direct experience with Google Cloud Platform, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred qualifications include Docker containerization and Kubernetes deployment experience.
