The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech APIs, and external integrations. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal services for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
Key responsibilities include building scalable backend systems, enhancing API performance, collaborating on B2B enterprise solutions with customization and integration needs, and working closely with product and frontend teams. The role requires proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js (required) and direct experience with Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers is valuable, as is experience with Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes for high-availability deployments.
