The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal systems for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy. Key responsibilities include designing scalable APIs that meet business requirements, enhancing backend systems for performance, collaborating on B2B solutions for enterprise clients, and working closely with product and frontend teams. The role requires strong backend development skills in TypeScript/Node.js and direct experience with GCP. Docker and Kubernetes experience is preferred. You should be efficient at prioritizing tasks by impact, comfortable in fast-paced environments, and passionate about making product decisions that delight users.
