Grafana Labs is hiring a Software Engineer for the Platform Productivity squad, part of the Internal Engineering Platform team. This role focuses on helping internal engineers release software securely and measurably onto Grafana's infrastructure, which processes millions of metrics, logs, and traces per second.
You'll work on developing and maintaining the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP), managing the CI/CD platform, automating build and release processes, and implementing configuration management tooling. The squad uses 'golden path' techniques to guide teams while supporting edge cases and ensuring teams maximize their tools. You'll help design and choose solutions for development automation, artifact management, software updates, and cross-functional collaboration with application development and security teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and maintenance of the Internal Engineering Platform
- CI/CD platform management and evolution
- Build, release, and deployment automation
- Application configuration management tooling
- Software update automation
- Artifact management systems
- Cross-team collaboration to support diverse internal requirements
- On-call rotation participation to support platform tooling
