Grafana Labs is hiring a Software Engineer for the Platform Productivity squad, part of the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP) team. This squad enables Grafana's internal application engineers to release software securely and reliably onto the company's infrastructure.
You'll work on building and maintaining the tools, systems, and automation that power Grafana's CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment infrastructure. The squad focuses on creating 'golden path' solutions that make it easy for teams to adopt best practices while supporting edge cases and custom workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and maintenance of the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP)
- CI/CD platform management and tooling improvements
- Build, release, and deployment automation
- Application configuration management systems
- Software update and artifact management
- Collaborating with application development, security, and other internal teams
- On-call rotation support for platform tooling
You'll have input into the squad's roadmap, helping decide what to build next and when to sunset legacy systems. The role involves working with modern infrastructure, Kubernetes, and automation technologies to support teams building Grafana's observability products (Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo).
