The Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining all backend services, including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text-to-speech infrastructure, and external APIs. This role is ideal for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, is passionate about product decisions, and has experience building delightful user experiences.
You will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability. You'll collaborate on B2B solutions focused on customization and integration for enterprise clients, and work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience.
The ideal candidate has proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js (required), direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers, and efficiency in ideation and implementation. Preferred qualifications include experience with Docker and containerized deployments, and proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
