The Platform team is responsible for all backend services powering Speechify's products, including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech APIs, and external integrations. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal services for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
Key responsibilities include building scalable backend infrastructure, enhancing API performance, collaborating on B2B solutions for enterprise clients, and working closely with product and frontend teams. The role requires strong backend development skills in TypeScript/Node.js (required) and direct experience with GCP. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of AWS or Azure, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes deployment experience.
