The Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text-to-speech infrastructure, and external APIs. This role is ideal for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about making product decisions while building great user experiences.
As a Software Engineer on the Platform team, you will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal services (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Consumption Tracking). You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability. You'll collaborate on B2B solutions focused on customization and integration for enterprise clients, and work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
Required qualifications include proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js and direct experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform). You should have knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. The ideal candidate is efficient in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact. Preferred experience includes Docker and containerized deployments, as well as proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
