Salary: USD 30,000 - 80,000 / annual

The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs—including the public TTS API and internal systems for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align architecture with product strategy. Key responsibilities include: - Design and develop scalable backend APIs meeting business and performance requirements - Enhance and optimize the backend API ecosystem for reliability and maintainability - Collaborate on B2B solutions with focus on enterprise customization and integration - Work with product, design, and frontend teams to ensure backend architecture supports user experience goals Required qualifications: proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js, hands-on GCP experience, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms. Preferred: Docker containerization and Kubernetes deployment experience. Speechify values flat organizational structure, technical excellence, fast execution, and strong communication.
