The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs that power Speechify's products at scale.
You will design and develop public TTS APIs and internal APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams on B2B solutions, focusing on enterprise customization and integration needs. Your work will directly align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
The ideal candidate has proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js (required), direct experience with GCP, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred qualifications include Docker containerization and Kubernetes deployment experience. You should be efficient at ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
