Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual

The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. This Software Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend APIs that power Speechify's products and B2B solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop public TTS APIs, internal APIs (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Consumption Tracking), and ensure they meet business and scalability requirements
- Oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability
- Collaborate on B2B solutions with focus on customization and integration for enterprise clients
- Work cross-functionally with product and design teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience
Required qualifications:
- Proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js
- Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact
Preferred qualifications:
- Docker and containerized deployment experience
- Kubernetes and high-availability application deployment experience
