The Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text-to-speech infrastructure, and external APIs. This is a key engineering role ideal for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about product decisions and user experience.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability. You'll collaborate on B2B solutions with a focus on customization and integration for enterprise clients, and work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
Required qualifications include proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js, direct experience with Google Cloud Platform, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred skills include Docker and containerized deployments, as well as proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes. The ideal candidate demonstrates efficiency in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
