The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal systems for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable APIs that meet business requirements, enhancing backend infrastructure for performance, collaborating on B2B solutions for enterprise clients, and working closely with product and frontend teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Required qualifications: proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js, direct experience with Google Cloud Platform, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred skills include Docker containerization and Kubernetes deployment experience. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, has strong communication skills, and is passionate about making product decisions that delight users.
