The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal systems for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy. Key responsibilities include designing scalable backend systems, working on B2B solutions with customization and integration needs for enterprise clients, and ensuring APIs meet business and scalability requirements. You'll work in a flat organization where technical excellence and consistent delivery create leadership opportunities. Required skills: backend development with TypeScript/Node.js, hands-on experience with GCP, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred: Docker and containerized deployments, Kubernetes for high-availability applications.
