The Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. This is a key role ideal for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about making product decisions that delight users.
You will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including the public TTS API and internal APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking. You'll oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability. You'll collaborate on B2B solutions focused on customization and integration for enterprise clients, and work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
The ideal candidate has proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js (required), direct experience with GCP, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred qualifications include Docker and containerized deployments, and proficiency deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes. You should be efficient in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
