The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs that power Speechify's products at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop public TTS APIs and internal APIs (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Consumption Tracking)
- Oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability
- Collaborate on B2B solutions with focus on enterprise customization and integration
- Work cross-functionally with product and design teams to align backend architecture with product strategy
Required qualifications: backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js, hands-on GCP experience, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred: Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes deployment experience.
